    The Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center announced today the release of the Guideline for Excavation Works in Infrastructure Projects, aiming to standardize procedures and improve the quality and efficiency of these vital projects.

    The Center's Executive Vice President for Planning, Engineer Bader bin Mohammed Al-Tamimi, explained that the guideline is an integral part of a comprehensive plan to enhance the performance of infrastructure projects in the region. He noted that the guideline is based on global best practices and approved standards, including those of the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing.

    Engineer Al-Tamimi emphasized that the guideline contributes to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 by improving the quality of life in the capital and increasing spending efficiency in this crucial sector. He pointed out that the Center will continue to develop and update the guideline periodically to ensure it keeps pace with the latest developments and standards in this field.

    He added that the guideline covers all aspects of excavation works, from planning and issuing permits to execution and safety management. It includes detailed instructions on the use of barriers, warning signs, and work area lighting to ensure the safety of both workers and residents.

    The Center urged all service providers and contractors to adhere to the guideline to enhance the level of service provided, thereby contributing to the efficiency of infrastructure projects.

    The Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center is the authority responsible for infrastructure projects. The issuance of these guidelines is part of its efforts to achieve the highest levels of integration and efficiency to improve the quality of life and the urban landscape towards sustainable infrastructure.
