The Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center has adopted controls for monitoring, compliance, and licensing for infrastructure projects in the region, aimed at achieving the highest standards of quality and safety.
This was clarified by Fahad bin Sulaiman Al Badah, the CEO of the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center, who confirmed that this move is part of the center's efforts to enhance compliance and ensure the application of best practices in all infrastructure projects in Riyadh. This contributes to the adoption of best monitoring practices and achieves sustainable development in the region.
Al Badah explained that the controls include a set of standards for the governance of monitoring and licensing work, and include precise methods to ensure environmental compliance, safety requirements, improvement of the urban landscape, and licensing requirements for infrastructure works in Riyadh.
He emphasized that this comes in response to achieving the center's objectives according to the regulatory arrangements issued by the decision of the Council of Ministers to establish the center, and the start of its journey in developing and modernizing monitoring and compliance methods in the infrastructure sector; keeping pace with Vision 2030 to raise the level of transparency through enhancing the quality of projects implemented in Riyadh with the highest standards of reliability and safety.
Moreover, Al Badah expressed his aspiration for the cooperation of all partners working in the infrastructure sector by adhering to the controls, standards, and special conditions issued by the center, affirming that these controls will contribute to achieving aspirations towards a developed and sustainable infrastructure.
To understand and apply the controls, the center has prepared training programs and workshops for service agencies, contractors, and all relevant parties to ensure the continuity of work and enhance efficiency in all infrastructure projects in the Riyadh region.
