The Riyadh Region Infrastructure Projects Center (RIPC) has launched the “Infrastructure Projects Code” as a pioneering and unique model, aimed at establishing unified standards to enhance works quality and safety. The Code also aims to enhance coordination and integration among all relevant entities—including government entities, contractors, consultants, laboratories, and service providers. It is scheduled to come into force in August 2025.
The Code provides guidelines to mitigate risks and maximize benefits in Infrastructure Projects works. It also includes methodologies for measuring performance regionally. One of its key features is its integration of best practices with regulatory requirements, clearly outlining obligations at each stage of a project and linking them to project’s overarching goals.
The introduction to this Code represents a significant step forward in RIPC ongoing efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of planning and implementing, enhance regulatory compliance, promote spending efficiency, improve urban landscape, and elevate life quality for residents and beneficiaries—ultimately increasing their overall satisfaction.
