His Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Ayyaf, Mayor of Riyadh Region, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center, today sponsored the " Saudi Infrastructure Summit and the Saudi Infrastructure Expo," attended by a number of dignitaries and local and international officials.
In his opening speech at the Summit, His Highness explained that the Saudi Infrastructure Summit and the Saudi Infrastructure Expo aim to enhance collaboration and cooperation to develop cities and achieve sustainable development through the exchange of experiences with successful practitioners. He noted that the Kingdom possesses an integrated work system aimed at serving cities and their residents, working towards their renaissance and development in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership.
His Highness emphasized that the Kingdom has a comprehensive work system dedicated to serving cities and their inhabitants, and that efforts to develop these cities are underway. Improving the quality of life and enhancing services are among the key elements of the ambitious Vision for the Kingdom. There are several programs, initiatives, and targets within the Vision that directly contribute to the development and growth of cities.
He stated that the development and enhancement of the city's infrastructure act as the nervous system contributing directly to its growth and development. The success of all major projects and initiatives relies on the availability of suitable infrastructure in the city to support and activate them. He affirmed that the infrastructure sector enjoys unprecedented support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince the Prime Minister, and that we face the challenges of the upcoming phase with high determination and elevated ambitions, aiming to transform Riyadh into one of the most sustainable global cities.
For his part, the CEO of the Infrastructure Projects Center in Riyadh Region, Eng. Fahad bin Sulaiman Al Badah, indicated that the Saudi Infrastructure Summit contributes to outlining an ambitious vision for the future of infrastructure, as the wise leadership has placed significant care and attention on developing infrastructure and advancing project works in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
He added that RIPC is working to unify efforts and harness resources to achieve the highest levels and standards in infrastructure project work. It focuses on establishing regulations, guidelines, and technical standards, as well as issuing project licenses and managing them while increasing compliance and commitment rates.
The Summit featured sessions and workshops attended by His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Mansour Al Mushaiti; His Excellency the Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi; His Excellency the Assistant President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Mr. Badr bin Abdulmohsen Al-Sheikh; His Excellency the CEO of the National Transformation Program Center, Eng. Thamer Al-Saadoun; His Excellency the Secretary General of the Saudi Contractors Authority, Mr. Abdulmajid Al-Rashoudi; and a select group of international experts to exchange experiences, discuss challenges, find innovative solutions, and showcase success stories. Additionally, several agreements and partnerships were signed with major local and international entities.
This international event is part of the efforts of RIPC, which is the body responsible for infrastructure project work in the Region.
